George BrunjesGeorge Brunjes passed away Sunday morning May 27th, 2012 in Everett, Washington with his family by his side. George lived his life to the fullest, reinventing himself along the way, from parish ministry, to Hospice, to his final profession, Chocolatier.

Chocolates by George! was his passion. He loved the creative process, always trying to find inspiration from books, magazines, and his customers. We believe he was just on the cusp of greater success.

Not only is his family in a period of transition, so is the business. What the future holds is unclear but an announcement will be made once the dust starts to clear.

Thank you for all the love and support that have been sent to the family and thank you for your support of Chocolates by George!

The decadent jewel of the South Whidbey Market scene, Chocolates by George! has a home on the web. Now you can order your little piece of heaven and have it shipped from our kitchen straight to your door. Chocolate truffles, caramels, cream caramel that drips over your fingers when you eat it, chocolate shells in dark, milk and white chocolate, and chocolate caramel sauces are all featured on their own page.

Chocolates by George! continues to make waves. We continue to win international/national awards across the United States. Check out our Honors and Awards page to see the number of times we have placed in the top categories for our hot and spicy chocolates and chocolate caramel sauces. Then visit our Hot and Spicy page to order some for yourself, or others that you want to surprise.

New truffles are being introduced on a monthly basis. These are highlighted on our Flavor of the Month page. In March, we featured our Modena truffle – 70% chocolate blended with balsamic vinegar and honey, which has become a run-away favorite. May’s becomes a health conscience truffle by blending 70% chocolate with the flavor of mangosteen juice with a hint of raspberry. Visit our Flavor of the Month page for more information
