Rich Flavorful Cakes! George made cakes before he made chocloates, now he has combined the two into the richest, creamiest cakes you've put a fork to. From the lush flavors blending in the Chocolate Cherry Truffle Torte to the fire of the Hot Coffee Cake, you'll be delighted. And yes, we can ship them. See the new Cakes page for details.
We're Hot, and we have the prizes to prove it! At the Chile Pepper Magazine ZestFest 2009 our "Incendiary Chocolates", (Great Balls of Fire truffles) took second prize in the Zesty Sweets Candy division and the new Caffeindish truffle took third. Our Hot Coffee Cake, a flourless chocolate cake with a coffee-based hot sauce, earned a second place ribbon in the Chocolate Desserts category. [full list of winners] See the Hot and Spicy page.
No fooling! Sarah Jackson of The Herald (Everett, Washington) wrote a feature on George and his chocolates: The art of chocolate: Whidbey confectioner delights in creating new flavors which appeared on Wednesday, April 1.
We won! First Prize in the Candy Category at ZestFest 2008 went to our “Great Balls of Fire” Truffles. This annual international competition, now in it's 13th year, is held at the Will Rogers Center at Fort Worth, Texas. Sauces, salsas, condiments, prepared foods, dry rubs, and candy compete fiercely for the judges attention, along with the traditional live chile cook-off. Like it hot? Check out the Hot and Spicy page.
Wonderful combinations emerge when fine chocolate meets fruit. We now have eleven different, and very special, jams featuring rich dark chocolates and fruits as they came in season this summer. Check out the new Chocolate Jams page.
