Encrusted Brie with Caramel Sauce
1 wheel of brie
1 sheet puff pastry
⅓–½ cup nuts (pecans or almonds, whole, chopped, or slivered)
2 ounces (half jar) of our Caramel Sauce
Egg wash
- Preheat oven to 400°F and microwave the Caramel Sauce to make it pourable
- Roll out one sheet of puff pastry
- Center the brie box and use light pressure to mark the pastry, then put the nuts in that circle
- Pour the sauce over the nuts and place the brie on the nuts and sauce
- Fold pastry around brie, sealing with the egg wash
- Place seam side down on lightly greased cookie sheet, bake for 20 minutes
Allow brie to set 8–10 minutes before cutting. Serve with melba toast for appetizer, with sliced fruit for dessert.
