For years, I have been writing to my chocolate supplier about their no sugar added chocolate which I had been using when I first became a chocolatier. Excited at first, people would ask what sweeteners had been used in the chocolates. It was Maltitol, and the response was usually the same. It caused lower digestive tract problems for most of them. I asked them to reconsider the sweetener they were using. I never got a response.
So, several months ago, I decided to strike out on my own and see what I could create. It has been very successful with not only diabetics, but with people who simply want to eliminate additional sugar from their diet. I started with a 100% Belgium chocolate. I made it less dry on the tongue with the addition of cocoa butter, and then used three organic, naturally grown sweeteners (coconut palm nectar, agave and a hint to stevia) to create the chocolate squares. The addition of chopped pecans adds an extra crunch. People who have allergies to nuts have asked that I eliminate them so I've created a blend with ground cocoa nibs, and a third which offers the added attraction of heat from chipotle and a hint of raspberry.
All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail for $10 for the first item and $1 for each additional item. A "Cold Keeper" is included to ensure your chocolates arrive fresh, although shipping to warm locations may be restricted during the Summer months. Sorry, shipping to US addresses only. If you wish to have a single order sent to multiple addresses we will be happy to work with you, but the base $10 per package cost will need to be collected separately.
